Our Story:

Here is the story about the inspiration behind this blog for those curious to know!

The Conscientious Foodie was born years ago when I started an organization in college to increase awareness about issues with our food and benefits of going vegetarian. A close friend and I co-founded the club, but when we graduated there was no one to take over, so both the name and organization died.

In this blog, The Conscientious Foodie is reborn, and it will be a place where you can find plant-based recipes, wellness tips, and other relevant content. My hope is that you will find it useful and that it grows over time to be a go-to resource and a community for those interested in these topics.

I’m a 20-something who is interested in way too many things to list here, but essentially I have a passion for:

  • Good food!
  • Wellness
  • Spirituality

My background is in Psychology, Spanish, and Environmental Studies. I enjoy writing and other creative pursuits, spending one-on-one time with loved ones, and cooking! My goal is to eventually publish a best-selling book! I have started work on a book about assertiveness and am contemplating a vegan cookbook.
